I'm not sure that it's a good idea to be putting adsense code in your overall header or footer etc as it may be against the google terms of service. I know it's not a good idea to put it in the overall header of phpbb2 forums because then it appears on login and error pages etc which is a google no no.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
