Not much of a solution, but you may want to get together with a few pliggers and ante up, pay a programmer to build a nice mod for it. It shouldn't be that costly, and from the looks of this, it seems there are quite a few pliggers here that would be interested in this mod.
I, myself, don't really use the upload image module yet -- but I'd be happy to kick in a few extra bucks to get this mod made for the community. Perhaps the Pligg Pro shop could develop this mod and sell it? Ask them.
