Even if you chmod 777 /cache, the install/upgrade.php still complain need to chmod it to 777 again and again, and you can't go to next step

It's supposed to say '/languages'.
Please chmod 777 the /languages folder and try again.

modified templates will not work with version 9.9 right? As 9.8.2 my modified template worked fine, but it appeared on 9.9 it only shows sidebar but not the center content.

I think the repeated error above (bunch of them, but I only copy some here) for upgrading to version 9.9 pligg is stopping my installed pligg to show stories at its center, but only on sidebar is update with new stories. How to fix this? look like a function somewhere is providing incorrect path.

Okie, things didn't work out and so I revert back to 9.8.2 and restore the old database. Upgrade to v. 9.9 is not working for me. Sigh... Any pointer?

9.8.2 templates will need some work to be able to be used with 9.9.

A wiki article has been started explaining the changes.

Upgrading a 9.8.2 template to 9.9

Even after upgrade from 9.8.2 to 9.9, pligg is still acting really weird for my site. Click on vote, it says incorrect key, but the error is not always reproduce-able. Then sometime pligg render nothing as if the database returns no dynamic results. For 90% of the time, Pligg is still extreme slow as if I'm on a modem 51k, but I'm on blazing T1 speed. Another website of mine on the same server of mine experience no slow down at all. It's extremely fast, and so I think it must have to be with code not with server. 9.9 didn't help ease my worries of scrapping my getting popular digg clone news section on my website using pligg. Sigh...

@ argh2xxx
Care to explain your hosting environment? Company, php version, cpu, memory? I haven't heard many complaints about Pligg's speed in a while.
