Currently the RSS Importer has the ability to compare titles of already posted items before importing. this is great. however if you mark an article as discarded it is then just re-imported again the next time the RSS importer runs.
Would be great if the importer could compare titles against ALL articles previously in the system.

err, I beg to disagree; discarded is sort of deleted you could queue it (for instance) and eventually drop the votes |

If you have it as queued it still shows on the site, which is what we don't want. It has happened to me on a number of occasions where a story that was imported was just not worth having on the site. After I set it to discarded, and do a new import of that feed it will pick that story up again.
