I upgraded to the last rev.58, now my site all story page link 404error.

Some issues with URL Method 2 have been popping up recently, I suggest that you either turn it back to Method 1 until a fix is provided or assist us in figuring out what's the cause so we can patch it. I'll look into this issue further Monday morning if it's not solved by then.

EDIT:
Just tested URL Method 2 on the Pligg demo site and it seems to work fine using the latest revision. Make sure that you have added the category rewrite rules to your htaccess as provided at the bottom of the category admin page (/admin_categories.php).

It looks like your htaccess is customized from the default Pligg version the way your URLs are formed. Maybe something caused by the customization caused this?

Just to recap my settings that seem to be working on the Pligg Demo:

1. Copy the categories code provided from the bottom of the category admin page to your htaccess.default files
2. Rename htaccess.default to .htaccess
3. Turn on URL Method 2 from Admin > Configure > UrlMethod
4. Set Friendly URLs as true (default setting) in Admin > Configure > FriendlyURLs

I'm having problems with stories linking to the 404 error page as well. It's only with stories and if I turn off friendly urls for the stories (while leaving urlmethod =2), the problem stops, but then I have an id and not a title in the url.

The categories work fine. It's only the stories that have the problem. I have enabled .htaccess, the urlmethod = 2, friendly url's = true, and added the category rules to the .htaccess (attached).

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Link to your site would help donfitz. We can't see how it's structuring urls without demonstrating it.
