You've helped nobody with your post. If you are going to take the time to complain about bugs, you should at least mention them. You are the exact type of user every open source project hates. Thanks for creating a post which waists everyone's time.
I suggest the next open source community you join, you will actually take the time to completely comprehend the software in which you intend to use before waisting that community's time as well..

I haven't noticed any bugs yet, but I have been told this scripts coding is poor by coders at sitepoint.

But for free, what do you expect.

Thanks for the backhanded compliment.
Most of the people at sitepoint wouldn't know good code if it was sitting on their face.

Really? Sitepoint is one of the leading developer hot spots. I think they know more about coding than you think chuckroast.

Is that how you developers respond to criticism, by bad mouthing people?

If you can't take criticism, perhaps you are in the wrong line of work. Developing attracts all kinds of comments, get use to it.

I am fine with criticism, as long as it's constructive. So far there is nothing in this thread that qualifies as that. We are a community that intends to remain positive. If someone in our community wishes to start or continue negative threads with nothing positive to add to the community, I have no use for them.

Thumbs up RoastChuck

I think he may have taken the "Roast" in your name here too literally. I don't believe it was a request to get roasted.

At any rate, I'm new here and this is as good a time to post as any I suppose.

I downloaded the script last night and although it took longer to get working then I expected it would, like every other script I've ever used (paid for or free), I did get it loaded and functioning. click4cause[dot]com.

Coincidentally I am having trouble getting my comment link to go to a working page so I did a search with keyword 'comment' and arrive at this 'RoastChuck' thread. If anyone knows why my comment links go to a dead-end please let me know. I'm using the free lemontwist template.

As for the criticism I agree the post that launched this thread was unnecessarily rude to you and the others who have worked very hard to get this software to where it is. So you were IN LINE for expressing your displeasure.

But, all feedback is helpful and should be encouraged. Most people understand that software development is difficult and doing it on less then a shoestring budget almost impossible. If someone has problems with a FREE solution and they don't want to invest the time and effort to ride to the finish line with the community I think they should just leave and not fart on their way out the door. But, if they have something to say about why they're leaving they should be courteous or send via PM.

My initial impressions of the script are very positive and I'm glad I found my way here at v9.5.5 and not 1.0.0!

Cheers

mauiman
