Various problems with build Beta 7.2

Hi!

I've had a search for topics close to the problems that I'm having, but I can't find anything relevant.

I've installed Beta 7.2 and followed the instructions and I'm having a number of problems:
  • When logged in, Admin Panel: "pligg/admin" doesn't exist.
  • I tried posting an article, but the article is nowhere to be found. When I click on the category that the article belongs to: "pligg/category/Happening", the path doesn't exist.
  • Similarly, the path: "pligg/queued/Happening" doesn't exist.
  • Selecting any of the template options effectively kills the whole application. I had to delete the Cookie file from my browser to restore some order.
  • Both the: "Tag Cloud" and: "Tell Me About Pligg" links do not work.
  • Can't click on the name of a user and view their profile. The required path doesn't exist.

I'm guessing that Pligg is trying to create folders on the fly. Clearly this isn't happening.

From the resources provided, there doesn't seem to be any mention of this as either a requirement or as a known problem.

I'd be much obliged if someone could shed some light on any of this.

Speak to you soon...

In your config.php file change URL method to 1. That should fi 95% of your problems. Do you have a link to your site?

Also having issues

I am also having similiar issues as the original post. However I have had URL method as 1 since I started. I too have to delete cookies, or open another browser, and then after clicking around for 10 minutes, it stops working. Just a white screen and nothing.

Thanks

Jason

Fixed my problem

I believe I have fixed my problem. There were links for for templates not installed. That really does a job on your browser!! I had to keep clearing my cookies, from that not working.

Hi, and thanks for the reply!

It's worth pointing out that the various non-existant path issues aren't issues at all.

They're the product of .htaccess re-directs.

So that's my mistake...
