Getting error upgrading from 204 to 210

Just tried upgrading to 210 from 204.

upgrade.php runs fine and reports no errors.

try to load the site and I get:

Code:
Warning: Unterminated comment starting line 1835 in /home/bumper/public_html/Smarty.class.php on line 1835

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/bumper/public_html/Smarty.class.php on line 1835
Smarty.class.php is dated today.

Any ideas?

Randy

Just to test I installed build 204 and then upgraded to 210 and it worked. I think what has happened is that the upgrade instructions weren't very good. I have updated them.

Here is what I did to successfully upgrade to build 210:

1. Renamed config.php and config2.php to config.php.bkk and config2.php.bkk.
2. Uploaded the new build over the current build on the server.
3. Renamed config2.php.default to config2.php
4. Made sure all directories have the right chmod according to the installation instructions.
5. Ran install/upgrade.php
6. Opened www.<mysite>.com
7. Corrected any notificatoins at the top of the page.

Sorry to put you through all that.

Totally my fault ... LeapFTP was throwing an error on smarty.class.php and not uploading all of it .. the file sizes were slightly out.

Again ... thanks for the quick response ...

Randy
