URL rewrite and variable definition errors

I have build 278 running, issues as follows:

1. url rewrite errors. $URLMethod = 2 and $URLMethod = 3 does not work

2. "PLIGG_Visual_Story_Times_Minutes" displayed as "PLIGG_Visual_Story_Times_Minutes", the same goes for, PLIGG_Visual_Story_Times_Hour, PLIGG_Visual_Story_Times_Days, PLIGG_Visual_Page_Previous, PLIGG_Visual_Page_Next, PLIGG_Visual_TopUsers_TH_User, PLIGG_Visual_TopUsers_TH_News, PLIGG_Visual_TopUsers_TH_PublishedNews, PLIGG_Visual_TopUsers_Statistics, etc... (a long list)

any advise on the updates necessary to fix this.

1. did you change the name of .htaccess.default to .htaccess?

2. I'm really confused what you're asking about this.

For #2, did you upload the /libs/options.php file?

Yes, I do have my .htaccess file. But however the URL rewrite issues are not for every link. but for the post title's IE: the outgoing links. When I use $URLMethod = 1 everything works fine, but when i use $URLMethod = 2, the outgoing links point to my own url and not the outgoing link. (eg: hac.kers.us)

as far as issue 2 goes, I fixed it. Thanks ash
