[SOLVED] Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.o

guys,

I retooled the default theme in beta 8, but nothing serious was changed, just the colors of some css definitions. Lastnight pligg was running smoothly, everything seemed to be working. then this morning, I logged in and I was unable to vote. I get the javascript error message "Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open".

I've a little experience with ajax programming, but I wouldn't know where to begin with trouble shooting pligg's ajax methods. thank you for any help with this.

Just for kicks, I reverted back to the original css file, not knowing if something I had changed there could have had an effect on ajax (can't see how though), and it still is not working. also, the spy / sneak feature is not working either.

pants!

(ah, oooh, ads, *click*click* )

Hi,
i faced this problem on my site newskicks.com.
the solution is to have correct URL in ur BaseURL.i mean if in the config file you mentioned the base URL as http://xyz.com and in browser ur typing http://www.xyz.com then most probably this error arises.
HTH,

There's already code in Pligg's .htaccess to automatically add www. to your URL. make sure that you change ReWritebase / to ReWritebase /subfolder where "subfolder" is the name of your subfolder if you have pligg installed in one.

I am having the same problem. When you go to I Pop U Social Bookmarking / Published Pops every thing works fine. When you go to IPopu.com you can't vote on any thing. You just get these errors when you click vote.

uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
myXMLHttpRequest()xmlhttp.php (line 33)
vote(5, 11, 0, "0e0da9c0f6946270a97cadfc24644edc", 10)

uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
myXMLHttpRequest()xmlhttp.php (line 33)
vote(5, 11, 0, "0e0da9c0f6946270a97cadfc24644edc", 10)

Any tips on how to resolve this? People checking out the new site are already complaining before they even sign up.
