Avatar Bug

I'm having a totally different problem than the previous post regarding avatars in Pligg Version 8.20.

I have no problem uploading a custom avatar. However, when I select "I want to upload my own avatar" and click on the "save" button before I've selected an image for my custom avatar, instead of showing the default avatar, it shows an "image missing" icon.

The bug occurs if I click on "save" without uploading a custom avatar. Basically, from that point onwards, I have a "missing image" icon in place of the avatar.

This is a problem because users are going around with "missing image" icons instead of the default avatar or a custom avatar.

How can we make it so that if the user doesn't upload an avatar but clicks on "save" while "I want to upload my own avatar" is selected, the user isn't stuck with a "missing image" icon. Most users won't bother to change this, thinking the system is buggy.

Basically, when the user clicks on "save", if there is no custom avatar image selected, it should use the default avatar instead of pointing to an image that isn't there.

This is confusing, so I hope I explained it clearly.
