[Fixed] Voting and login problems with latest build (702)

My site is frequently getting Javascript errors when you try to vote. I recently installed build 693 from scratch, but was getting errors so I upgraded to 702. Unfortunately the errors continued. Since my site isn't an upgrade of a pre-beta9 version, I don't think the previous thread about voting errors applies to me.

Sometimes voting works, sometimes it doesn't. This is true both for IE7 and Firefox. I'm not sure what the cause is, but I suspect it has something to do with a login bug. Often I will appear to be logged out even if I don't click on the logout link. My theory is that once you log back in after that Pligg gets confused as to why there are 2 people logged in at once and the voting error occurs. Here's the error I get:

Line: 70
Char: 8
Error: Permission denied
Code: 0

Annoymous voting is turned on, and this error happens when logged in or logged off.

I'm using MySQL 4.1.21-standard, PHP 4.4.2 and Apache 1.3.36 on a shared hosting account. My site is at http://www.avoidinglife.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

the problem is that your base url doesn't have www.
so when someone looks at your site with www. as a prefix, the browser doesn't allow ajax requests to go through.

So first rename htaccess.default to .htaccess
then set your base_url as www.avoidinglife.com

and it show work fine.

Ahhhhhh, I see! Never knew that made such a big difference.
I made the change and you're right, everything seems to be fine.
Thanks a bunch!
