Issues with Categories and stories, more help needed.

I have read the current threads about the issues with categories and stories and tried the recommended fixes, however the don't work for me.

I can submit a story ok but from the homepage when I click on a category I receive the following:

Not Found

The requested URL /category/2/ was not found on this server.

I have tried commenting in/out the Option lines in .htaccess and I know I have mod_rewrite working.

Any addtional help or ideas is greatly appreciated!

Actually clicking any link that comes across as /story/2/ or /category/2/ or trackbacks, nothing works.

The program is really cool and I'd really like to make this work, help.

I don't know enough about mod_rewrite to help.

Here is a modified smarty-ized version of Beta 5 that should get you started. This version uses the old style URL's so there is no need for htaccess and mod_rewrite. There may still be bugs, so lemme know if you have any trouble.
