I like one of the new features that Netscape introduces. Check out http://tinyurl.com/lx8r9 (Be sure to vote for Fat Pitch News while you are at it ;-) .) You'll notice that when you click on a story in Netscape it opens in a framed window that includes a list of top stories and you can vote on while also reading the story you clicked on. I would love to do this with Pligg for my site. Anyone know how to create this using smarty?

I had a similar idea to this a while ago: http://static.flickr.com/53/12607187...053ef5.jpg?v=0 I don't think Netscape got it right (neither did I) with the iFrames, but they could be a really good idea for sites. If you let users view an article and still have access to your site's tools you are really giving your site an advantage over other site's. My idea was to let users click on an article to view it and when they clicked on a button (let's say F1) it opens up a tool pane for voting, commenting, etc.

Hi! See: http://www.shoutwire.com/ http://www.shoutwire.com/viewstory/17907/Heinz_Looking_For_A_Better_Way_To_Squirt_Ketchup Not the best way, I admit, but as an example it's springing up all over. They use it for google ads. =)
