Is there a way to use the normal method, but also give the user the option to use their openID?

yeah, i do think this mod will really help the new sites to grow up quickly, especially after AOL, Google blogger and Yahoo announced to support OpenID 2.0

Agreed -- I will give it a shot or collaborate with someone on the development-- (extending the downloadable module version) --but I am a newb at php and smarty. any takers?

openid 2.0 support on latest version?

Is there any development going?

I lately found this.
OpenID For PHP: OpenID 2.0 Compliant PHP5 Library

I have no idea about php, but do you think by using above resource, professionals can come up with OpenID login on pligg?
