There was a detailed discussion at http://www.pligg.com/forum/showthrea...ghlight=openid

Ash seems to work on it since Jan 2007, so there must be some news sooner: Ref: http://www.pligg.com/forum/showpost....65&postcount=6

Some related resources:
This is a screencast that demos open id:
http://simonwillison.net/2006/openid-screencast/
This one is "How to turn your blog in to an OpenID"
http://simonwillison.net/2006/Dec/19/openid/

The best resource though is
https://www.myopenid.com/

EDIT:
A simple search gave me many results indicating it is a work in progress, so before making any new thread - I would strongly suggest to do a simple search.

After looking into this, I decided to take a stab at it. Here is what I came up with..

I added an input box to allow an openid (url) to be entered on the login side-bar. Once you verify you own the OpenID, it checks whether or not you are in the pligg user db. If you are, it logs you in. If not, it creates a user account for you.

Note: If you do not enter a valid openid, no error message is displayed. (yet)

Demo is at: http://www.bryanhunsinger.org

Let me know what you guys think!

There is a step by step guide to setting up openID on sites here
A Recipe for OpenID-Enabling Your Site

It shouldn't be hard for a developer that knows his way around pligg to integrate this.

With the news that Yahoo is supporting openID now I would really like to see any work on this mod. I have been getting a lot of traffic lately but people don't like making accounts, I think openID could really help out.
