SVN Alpha Releases

This thread will be continuously updated with recent revisions of the Pligg SVN. Please read this thread carefully before choosing to download and use these versions of Pligg. While Pligg is still considered "beta" software, these SVN builds should be considered "alpha" releases due to some experimental and sometimes temporary changes made to the Pligg core.

These versions of Pligg are NOT STABLE and should only be used for non-production servers for testing purposes. There's a good chance that some features are only half-finished in these releases. We encourage you to test these latest builds and report back to our Projects Panel so that we can fix any open bugs.

We are providing these releases to the general public for the purpose of getting security fixes out ahead of the next proper release. You will also find some bug fixes that have been reported on the forums since the last release. The last benefit is that you will find new features and modules included in the Pligg SVN that have not been provided in previous versions. While these modules and features are often working, they can't be guaranteed to be 100% functional and bug free.

If you want the most up to date release of the SVN, please read the Wiki article about the Pligg SVN. Please check back for new files attached to the bottom of this thread to get the latest SVN version that we provide on this thread. The number at the end of the filename is the revision number from the SVN. You can compare your revision number and check out a brief of the latest SVN change notes through the SVN Twitter page.

Something that we also need to make clear is when you do report back on your findings, please give us a good description about your server environment. This includes OS, PHP Version MySQL Version.

It helps us greatly if we can recreate any problem that you may come across.

These are the release notes for this alpha version as of Revision 42 of this SVN since 9.9.5

- Added XML Sitemaps
- Updated Image Upload module
- Added 404 to libs files
- Module javascript files gzipped
- Bug Fix in Categories & Latest comments sidebar
- Added Yahoo Publishers Network Revenue Sharing Module
- Fixed stories opening in new window option.
- Category is now maintained when switching from published to unpublished and reverse.
- Added sanitize to all GET parameters in getmyurl().
- Patched potential category exploit
- Fixed tab width to fit more text.
- Removed unused DB query thanks to Peppolone:
- Changed Tag sort order to newest first, rather than most votes.
- Updated RSS Import module to version 0.6 by Mark Edwards
- Fix by Betagirl to clear cache when it exceeds 2MB in size
- Sanitizing inputs
