Adding Most Recent Comment Date To Main News Page?

Hi all,

Is there a way to add the date of the most recent comment on the main news page/homepage for a submission?

By default it shows "Posted by XUSER Y days ago"

I cause posts to bump when a comment is made, so I want to show that there is action on the article, right on the main page, so it doesn't look so old for new users.

Anyone have an idea how to do this?
