Go to admin> configure> location installed> and make sure you have that set correctly

it is set correctly...

the backslash supposedly occurs in this block
Code:
{php}
        include_once(mnminclude.'tags.php');
        global $main_smarty;

        $cloud=new TagCloud();
        $cloud->smarty_variable = $main_smarty; // pass smarty to the function so we can set some variables
        $cloud->word_limit = tags_words_limit_s;
        $cloud->min_points = tags_min_pts_s; // the size of the smallest tag
        $cloud->max_points = tags_max_pts_s; // the size of the largest tag

        $cloud->show();
        $main_smarty = $cloud->smarty_variable; // get the updated smarty back from the function
        {/php}

Wthout a link to your site, it's going to be hard to troubleshoot. I still think it's an incorrect setting somewhere.

You clearly made changes to your template and messed something up along the way... This is not a bug and shouldn't be reported in the bug report forum. I suggest backtracking to see where you made your error.
I'm am moving this post into the customization assistance forum.

even upon first installation

the backslash occurs on the sidebar as well...

so its nothing to do with me messing with the template..

Code:
<div class="featurebox">

	\

<div class="tlb"><span><a onclick="new Effect.toggle(
when i look at the source.. it occurs in between the featurebox n tlb class...

so if you can have a look at that and help with determine the cause of it... im not a pro programmer.. maybe something to do with the smarty??
