I've been working on the same project with pligg and phpbb3:

HouseReview / Published News

Just need to merge the logins now - with the phpbb3 user_functions, I dont think it is too hard, but note that with RC7 the password has changed from md5 to salted.

phpBB integration's login/logout bugs

On GameSnips :: Index, it seems their integration and phpBB module does not have the login/logout bug that we see when using the downloadable module version. Is there a known fix/workaround for this?

This has been added to the SVN for Pligg as a module. It's disabled by default and if you REALLY don't want it you can just remove the whole module folder.

It's also still a work in progress. If the user already exists in phpBB and the passwords don't match you won't get logged in and currently changing your password in pligg does not change the phpBB password. Plus it still needs a little security work.
