How about submit via Atom Publishing Protocol?

Many blog systems implement the Atom Publishing Protocol (APP).
Recently I found that Blogmarks(a social bookmarking site) implements it too.
I think it would be cool for Pligg have this too.

Some ideas with an app enabled Pligg :

• Filter a news feed by keywords and auto submit to Pligg
• Auto submit Google Alert emails to Pligg
• Add a trigger to a blog system, so that it submits the blog entry to Pligg when it is posted

This will be a very good feature. Implement XML-RPC to accept blog post submissions automatically.

Anyone second this feature request?

Hmmm...Almost every site I've seen that supports Atom also supports RSS. I'd stick with RSS, why deal with Atom when everyone supports RSS? Only some people support Atom.
Concerning the idea of allowing blogs to post automatically - nice idea, though you would want to review the blogs before allowing them to do so. Also I would want them to have to "edit/vote" on their story before it was put into the upcoming, otherwise you would significantly reduce your site traffic.
