| RSS Imported - Prebuilt Feeds One of the new features to beta 9.5/9.6 is the prebuild feeds in the RSS importer. To see what I mean, open the RSS Importer and click on 'import prebuilt'. Then paste this URL into the box. http://forums.pligg.com/digg_test.html and hit 'import feed'. You can paste in the url, or open it and copy + paste the text that you see. It'll then setup a feed to import the digg RSS feed with the fields already linked for you. Has anyone played with this yet? thanks

| Ash can you please re-explain the advantage and purpose of the "import pre-built" I tried the above example and not sure what it does other than "auto generate" the rss feed from digg. Actually an easier way of submitting RSS feeds on this module will help, since i have to reload "add new field" 3 times to get the basic field needed. thanks noyP |

| I have no idea how to make this feature works. I have set up a test RSS Importer record to import a few items from digg.com RSS feed but it didn't work at all. Anyone that could come out with a detailed step by step instruction on how to set this RSS Importer up will be highly appreciated. ![]() |

| When you see " Feed not fully setup, skipping" It's basically telling you you didn't finish the set up. Did you follow the tutorial?

| Wow, seems like an amazing idea, im new to pligg as of today, im a developed php & mysql programmer, and was thinking about creating a digg like programme, did a quick search and found your software, iv only had a five min play, but its amazing, great implementation with script.alicio.us! you need a "newbies corner" or something in the forums lol I think an RSS/XML paser would be an amazing addon, so that users don't just post links to posts, but just post there rss feed, and have a cron job grab all the feeds at a certain point, i can see this being tricky though, seeing that i haven't had a really successful paser yet =[ well, i hope this project goes well =] do you have much competition within this field/trouble from digg.com? |
