This module is based on a MooTools script written by David Walsh that changes the external links on your site so that when you hover over them it will show a preview image of the linked domain. If you find my description confusing the best way to understand how it works is to check out this demo from the DavidWalsh article that this module is based on.

Module Requirements
This module requires you to install the MooTools javascript library module, which is included in the attached download. Because javascript libraries will often not be friendly with each other (you can't run more than 1 on a page), I suggest that you disable any other libraries you might have installed on the page (jQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous, etc.).

This module also requires you to register an account at SnapCasa.com in order to use their FREE web snapshots. Registration only takes a few seconds and allows you to use the module until it retrieves 500,000 snapshots. After that you will need to pay a small fee, or switch to a new free account.

Module Installation
Install this just like any other module by uploading the /modules directory and overwriting any existing folders on your web server.

You will need to edit the file /modules/snapcasa-link-thumbnails/templates/thumbnails_head.tpl. Line 26 requires you to enter your SnapCasa user code (found from SnapCasa.com > My Account) where you see the ####.

Go to Admin > Modules , then click the Install button for Mootools followed by the SnapCasa Install link. Mootools module is included with the download attached to this thread.

I can't get to work with the Standard Theme. Any idea?

Edit: wistie not work too. I think both themes use jquery for dropdown menu.

Wistie only uses jQuery if you are using an old version of IE, otherwise the browser will ignore the jQuery lines in the template. "The Standard" does use jQuery for the dropdown menu, so it will probably not work with this MooTools-based module. If you want to be safe try removing the Wistie jQuery lines temporarily, but I think you can leave them in and not have any problems.

Check the source of the page to see if it is loading MooTools and a bit of CSS and additional javascript short after the MooTools call. If you see that you will be able to tell that the module is loading and the problem is probably related to conflicting javascript.
