Hi,

I decided to create a new thread for it in the Free Modules section. I spent some time and modified the standard Pligg Toolbar and included a Random button and an Ajaxed Vote button.

I would really appreciate if you can please test it and let me know if you find any bugs or issues. I have tested this with 1.0.1 release.

Demo at: SquidUp! | and check out the toolbar. This is my test website so nothing can go wrong. The toolbar is launched from the story page itself.

The following features have been added:

• Working Vote button.
• Working Random Story Button
• Error checking if you have already voted.
• Checks anonymous voting.
• Checks the IP when multiple votes from same IP is not allowed
• Comments link point to the comments section of that post
• The Logo points to your site's home page.
• Fully customize your own buttons by updating pligg_web_toolbar.tpl file.

I will also be updating the commenting so you can comment right from the toolbar on the story that you like.

Attached is the zip file containing all the required files. Keep the directory structure as it is in the zip file.

To Install: Go to the modules section and Enable Pligg_Web_toolbar module and Random Story module.

To see it in action, go to the story page and click on the title. Hope you like it. Most importantly: Please report back any issues or bugs that you may experience.

Ver 2.1 Bug Fix:

1. Fixed a bug in Random Story feature. File modified /modules/random_story/random_story_main.php

there are two problems:
1- when i click on the random story button, pligg display below error:

[{"error":"No popular stores....."}]

2- in the story page, the direct link address replaced with internal link address; so pligg doesn't display the address of the link.

Can I see a working example? Send me a link? As you can see that it is working fine on my side, but if you give me a link to the live example, I might be able to help you out.

Which URL method are you using? it only works with URL method 1

Seems to me like URL method 2 is going to be an important feature in this. Can't have it saying mysite.com/modules/pligg_web_toolbar/toolbar.php?id=1 ... do you have any plans to add support for method 2?

Hey, I am pretty new to Pligg having discovered it like 3 weeks ago so I am learning as I go. I tried to get the URL method 2 to work but I couldn't at this time. But it is something that I very much will like myself. I am just not too sure about how the URL method 2 works at this time. If I figure it out I will certainly share it here.

Please feel free to help out on this one if someone knows how this is done.

Hey, I ran into same error situation and got around to fixing it. The issue was with the random function. It was getting a random ID by using the actual count of the number of rows and generating random number from it. This was wrong way of doing it. I modified the code and it now returns a random link ID from the SQL query itself.

The error was coming when there was no story associated with that Link ID. This is now fixed. Attached is the updated file that you need to copy to /modules/random_story/random_story_main.php. I will also be updating the main download.

Hi,

i tested the toolbar. But I get a problem with the video module. If I activate the Toolbar, so the video is not displayed in on the detailed link/news.

And I got a second problem. The Toolbar is not displayed in my installation. - I uploaded the folder and activate the module.

I am not sure that I understand correctly. Double check the directory structure to make sure files are there where they are supposed to be.

I am running the Video Ferret module with the pligg toolbar and random story with no issues.

If you give more information, maybe I can then help you more.

When I click on Title of the story on web toolbar then it should back to the story page but it the gives this error:-

Not Found

The requested URL /story.php was not found on this server.

It dosen't back on story page Like Digg.

I have atteched screenshot, Where I clicked(in red Circle)
Please help
