Sorry to fork the original thread, but the old Sitemap module thread has not been maintained by the original author very often and we have updated the module to work with Pligg 1.x and made some improvements.

Features:

• Users Sitemap
• Pages Sitemap
• Stories Sitemap
• Groups Sitemap

Other modules can now plugin to this module to allow them to be inserted into the sitemap.


Search engines should use one of these URLs:

Url Method 1: http://www.DOMAIN.COM/module.php?module=xml_sitemaps_show_sitemap
Url Method 2: http://www.DOMAIN.COM/sitemapindex.xml

Hi

I am getting similar errors in google with respect to the groups and pages. I have groups disabled so this could be the reason so can you tell me how to do the following.

1. Disable the pages, groups and users from being added to the sitemap
2. Add the tag pages?

Just wondered is it possible to hardcode an existing sitemap into the code somewhere? I have sitemaps on all my sites which I want to keep so it would be good if that were possible

There are various types of sitemap styles and formats. You can even make a CSS styled sitemap like Slickmap. The existing format for the XML Module fits Google standards.
