Sorry to fork the original thread, but the old Sitemap module thread has not been maintained by the original author very often and we have updated the module to work with Pligg 1.x and made some improvements.

Features:

• Users Sitemap
• Pages Sitemap
• Stories Sitemap
• Groups Sitemap

Other modules can now plugin to this module to allow them to be inserted into the sitemap.


Search engines should use one of these URLs:

If you don't want to do that but what to create your own version that's fine too but that means you forked the project so please let people know about it ... An accepted procedure is to actually change the name and not just bump the version number.

You seemed to have abandoned this module so I picked it up and added new features to it. The very first line in the new thread was to credit your original work, so there is no confusion that your work was the base for this module. Also I have marked you as a Co-Author above. If you would like to take over in support and maintenance of your own module or this variation I would be happy to let you do that, I was only trying to improve on your original work and it was not my intention to steal any credit. In addition I felt that this module deserved a new thread since the re-release has been updated to work specifically with the 1.0 series of Pligg and I didn't want users to be confused by older bugs and complaints.

the only thing that really bothers me is that people come to my blog, and say the module doesn't work, when actually it does and then I find out they are actually talking about a different version that you released.

I think it may be how your server renders xml, because my test sitemap XML page is identical and it shows the normal style.
