You need to change 3 things in sidebar.tpl to have your own twitter account.

find :
twitter_username = 'pligg';

and change pligg in your twitter username

find:
jQuery.jTwitter('pligg', function (userdata) {

Change pligg in your twitter usernarname

find:
<a class="followMe" href="http://www.twitter.com/Pligg"><span>Follow me on Twitter!</span></a>

Change pligg in your twitter username

me also having the same pbm here. But after changing the twiiter username my sidebar and footer completely disappeared. I mean after refreshing the page. I tried to change it to old username itself. But it also not working yet.

Did you delete {literal} tag?

Same problem - I tried viewing it in different browsers as well. Had to replace the entire folder to reset the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there anyway to get the tag cloud to be the default sidebar content? Right now it defaults to categories.

have the same problem, literal code in it's place...

sidebar has disapeared ;(

EDIt.. fixed it...
besides the sidebar.tpl .. the .../templates/admin/admin.tpl needs editing also
there is a line in there to the RSS feed of the twitter account, for pligg it looks like this : <li><a href="http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/6024362.rss" target="_blank">Twitter</a></li> .. you have to change the number to reflect your twitter ID
