Allow users to write content? (i.e. no link to submit)

As part of where I wanna go with FanRumours.com / Published Stories I would like the possibility for users to post their own stories (i.e. not linked content).

So someone can come along without any evidence and claim Pele is start playing football again for Bristol Rovers... with no link to back it up (the users will decide whether it's worthy:) )

So on submit step 1, as well as the Link to site part, a text box with a maxium of 250 characters or something where they can just throw in anything and have it treated as a local submission.

Is this possible (well of course it is, but I mean currently)?

I read something somewhere about editorials?

If I'm under standing you right. Go to Admin>Configure>Submit and set "Require a URL when submitting" to false. then scroll down to "No URL text" and enter what you want.
Then go to Admin>Modify Language>PLIGG_Visual_Submit_Editorial and enter something like "If this is an Editorial and you don\\\'t have a URL, just press continue."
