Can't Submit stories anymore (rel. to image upload module)

After installing the image upload module (still haven't gotten to get it to work properly but that's another post) I now cannot submit any new stories whether they are urls or editorials. It must be related to the files I edited when trying to get the image upload module to work. This is the error I get in step 3:

Warning: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '), link_votes=0, link_karma=1 WHERE link_id=183' at line 1 in /home/ladipp/public_html/libs/db.php on line 207

Any advice is appreciated.

You probably made some wrong changes, the easiest solution is to replace the modified files with the original ones and try again to insert the right code in the right place by following the installation instructions carefully. I did it myself and if you make the changes properly, it works fine. But one wrong single dot or semicolon can already cause a lot of trouble.

I did that. I replaced with the originals and still get this warning.

Can someone tell me in what files my stories are stored. If I do a clean install and then move the stories from the old pligg to the new pligg, would that work? What files would I have to move?
Also, when I followed the update instructions in the FAQ it did not tell my to backup the libs folder only the settings and config files. If it's only an update shouldn't I keep the libs folder?
