Duplicate link can't find original when asked...

I've been checking around for an answer to this. When there is a duplicate article submitted and I'm asked "you can vote and comment on the existing article:" when following that link the result of the search is blank.

net-net - Duplicate URL is not working. Any suggestions?

I just installed 9.1 and this is still happening. is there a new fix for this?

The problem is, when you search for http://www.google.com, url method 2 searches for http:/www.google.com which has one "/" less after "http:". Thats why it can not find anything. Temporary solution is to hack url method 2. But we need a permament solution which should be implemented in .htaccess file.

I think I've got the same problem.

If a "Duplicate article URL:" is submitted and the message "Please double check the URL and make sure that the article has not been already published
You can vote and comment on the existing article:" appears, I click on "You can vote and comment on the existing article:" which is a link that performs a Pligg site search using the story URL.

The search result however does not come back with the submitted story that already exists but a whole list of other stories too - it's not very useful if a user wants to vote on a story that already exists on the site if they have to scroll through pages to find the story.

Anyway... I hope someone has a fix for this! Many thanks in advance.
