Time for spam filtering... Does anyone?

Hey guys,

Having my first instances of tossers creating 10 accounts and trying to vote up their own stories. I know in the config their is the ability for spam filtering. Does this add IP protection when creating user accounts? Or email verification? Or can I just dump his domain name into the spam.txt file? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also the admin feature is al ittle slow for killing accounts. If I just wipe 10-15 accoutns with mysql can u see that messing anything else up?

Thanks.. it really is appreciated.

You can block a domain from being submitted by enabling CHECK_SPAM in config.php. You would then add the domain (one domain per line) to the local-antispam.txt file. I believe the idea was someone would maintain a list of domains that spam in the antispam.txt file and that could be distributed among the pligg sites.
