| Can we create a sticky on how to deal with SPAM? Hello I have been trying to research methods of dealing with spam: doing searches, reviewing spam blockers, looking for threads with a high number of posts, etc.. However, the problem that I'm having is that there's so many different threads and the proper information is scattered all over the Pligg forum. I think helping Pligg users deal with spam is just as important for the ongoing development of Pligg as Ad Placement and Image Uploading (which both have stickies). I was hoping one of the forum admin's could create a simple, clear-cut sticky on what our options are in dealing with spam, and provide a simple description of each method. Then in this thread people can discuss what works and what doesn't. Perhaps we could have people post questions. Here are some that I have: -Should I use blackball? How effective is it? -How do I set up email confirmation? -What's the most effective form of captcha? Thanks for your consideration. |
