How can you Edit the source URL of a story after submission

I've searched on this topic, and either this isn't possible or totally obvious.

If a user has submitted a story and there's a problem with the link (not that it's invalid, but that it's just wrong, or needs to be changed), how can a user edit the source URL?

the links allow the user to edit the title and the description, but not the source url.

I'm using Pligg 8.2.0

I've set the "use story title as link" to true

"show the url input box" is set to true

"require a URL" is set to False

"allow edit of summary" is set to true

"URL method" is set to 1

I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer. It seems like this should be simple. Submitter's should be able to modify the link they posted.

Hi djdrue

I'm not positive about this but I believe this was done to stop someone from submitting a link and story, waiting till the story is made popular and on the front page, they could easily change the URL to a spam link.

If you do come across a link that was submitted incorrectly you can always discard the story and have the users or yourself resubmit it.

I agree that a user shouldn't be able to change it's submitted URL.

However, I would like the 'god' administrator to be able to do this. (for example to remove affiliate tags, etc.)

Can anybody help me with this?

Thanks,
B

There is another changeset here to go along with the one KB posted. :)

Thanks for helping out with this. I've changed the files from all the changesets you've mentioned, but get the same error as gamespel:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home/xxx/public_html/editlink.php on line 196

Excuse reviving an old post but is this still the way to implement this?
I think you can do it on myphpadmin if it's not a regular occurrence.
