Deleting a User?

Hi,

Is there an option to delete a registered user for whatever reasons, if the admin wants to?

I see an option to Disable the user from logging in [which isn't working for me - getting a fatal error], but besides disabling, ability to delete the registered user would be a great option for user management.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

It gets very complicated when you start deleting things in a database. If you delete a user what happens to that user's stories? If you delete the stories what happens to those comments? A lot of errors will be thrown so that's why I implemented the killspam feature. the killspam feature changes their password, changes their comments to "removed by a moderator" and deletes their stories. This option will be available in the next version of Pligg.

True.

When the admin attempts to delete the user, prompt the admin to delete or not to delete the stories and comments of that user.

If no stories or comments for that user exist, let the admin delete the user.

This is what i can think at a very simplistic level.

Thanks. i'll wait for it in the next version.

But i am getting a error when i try to disable the user. Following the the error i get [Okay... I am using blueshave template]...

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /path/to/the/file/admin_users.php on line 324

Thanks for any help on that error.

Cheers

click on "text changed" to see the exact code that was added. Like I said, I think this fix was out before 8.2 so it may not solve your problems.
