Pligg and Advertising

I'm trying to understand something about Pligg and I'm hoping someone familiar with Pligg can help:

1) Can one serve their own ads with Pligg?

2) Do Pligg's own ads also get served?

3) Is there a commercial use option for Pligg which would allow no Pligg ads to be served?


This is from Pligg's Terms and conditions:

Advertisements. As consideration for using the Service, you agree and understand that Pligg may display ads and other information adjacent to and related to the content of the news articles. Pligg serves relevant ads using a completely automated process that enables Pligg to effectively target dynamically changing content.

It probably goes without saying that I'm exploring a commercial solution for a news site, and I'm not sure whether or not Pligg is that solution. Pligg seems very slick, but third party (Pligg) ads are probably a deal breaker for my specific needs.

Has anyone explored any other solutions?

Those are the terms for using YOUR pligg site. If you saw them on demo1.pligg.com then those are the terms for VISITING that site. You can change the terms for your site when you install it. The only thing you need to worry about is the license.
