Hello,

i've the same problem too. But it isn't really a Problem of pligg, i think. Magpie in v0.72 can't handle multiple dublin core Tags and writes the content of all tags in one line. There should be another newer version - Magpie 2.0alpha, but i can't find any downloadable source :(
Perhaps there is a opinion to patch the magpie source files and add the multiple DC tag functionality....

greets phiro

I just installed Pligg this week and see that the multiple tag issue is still a problem. I would highly recommend maintaining your own branch of magpie, like a few other projects, or switching to simplepie as I saw suggested a few places.

In the meantime this patch allows multiple tags to be importing into Pligg. I tested this and Pligg imports the tags as expected.

The location of the file to patch is modules/rss_import/magpierss/rss_parse.inc and I attached the file to this post. If you use the file make sure to change the extension back to "inc"

Hello, this is working fine up to one point. If the tags have special separators like "/" or " - " the string is treated like one "tag" e.g. "Politics/Economies" - but I would like to have two tags, like "Politics" and "Economies". Where can I add characters ("/"," - ") which are filtered out? Can you help?

thanks
arjello

Is this patch applicable for 9.9.0? Cause tag cloud doesn't show/added from rss in 9.9.0.

Will this allow successful import of del.icio.us tags (since they are delimited by spaces, not commas)? I've tried to do this, applied the patch above, with no luck. Any ideas?

I found that the reason for the imported tags not showing in the tag cloud is that the tags need to have the field "tag_lang" filled with the phrase "EN" inside the table pligg_tags, the thing is that I don't know how to fix this, hopefully someone know how to do this.

I've been offline for awhile. Special separators are really not supported by most parsers for good reason. You want those characters in your tags. The only generally supported separators are commas and spaces, and most only commas since a lot want spaces in their tags.
