It's not recommended that you bypass validation. I plan to offer an option where when an account is created, a password is emailed to them, then they login with that password and change the password to what they want it to be. I do not know when I will be adding this.

Still doesn't answer why the image isn't showing up as I am having the same issue. I understand the need from image verification, but I also understand the need of being able to actually see the image :-)

You need to have gd enabled. Check your info.php file to see if your server supports it. I've attached an image to show you what it should (sort of) look like.

My php.info file looks EXACTLY like your screenshot and the image is not displaying. I've been messing with the CSS to customize my site but I can't think of how that would affect anything. It worked once for one user. Does it perhaps do some kind of security check and not allow duplicate IP's for different users?

This bug is delaying my deployment.

If the problem is GD, is there an easy way to switch the system to use ImageMagick? However, GD works fine for other apps on my server so I don't think this is the problem.

If there is no answer at this time can we have some solution to bypass this validation?

Okay, I can't wait any longer for a solution to this. To summarize:

- GD works fine on my server.
- I have upgraded to R63 and it works although I had to delete the included .htaccess file.
- My info.php file is the same as the one posted by Yankidank.
- I have installed into a subfolder called /proto.
- Bringing up /ts_image.php?ts_random=46697580 directly prints the URL but looking at the source for that URL seems to bring up a binary file (probably the JPG file). So it's looking like the JPG is being spit out as ASCII.

If none of those things rings a bell as to the problem then can someone come up with a way to bypass the registration or just have the user type a password from a JPG that I host on the server. I don't mind having one JPG password displayed as long as I can change it manually if needed.

Please help. This is the only major issue preventing my site from going live.

I have this problem too.
GD works fine, pligg R51, ts_image.php prints the URL.
