I was just wondering why these two things don't seem to work with one another? perhaps it is just my own problem?
when both are set to true, i get something along the lines of "No input file specified."
Turning outgoing links off seems to work, but aren't outgoing links important?

Make sure Outgoing links is set to title in admin > config > outgoing > outoing links

it is...do you think it could have something to do with the fact that I had to create a php.ini file for godaddy? (I don't see why that would make a difference, but maybe)

hmm... are you using version 9.1? After a default install I can't get the urls to look like /out/story_title. It's supposed to be /category_name/story_title

if I turn url method 2 off, it seems to be using out.php...don't know if that helps, I am trying to put everythign back to default setting, then enableing one by one...

Nevermind, I didn't realized you changed the titles of your story to be used as the external link. Make sure this code exists in your .htaccess Code: RewriteRule ^out/([^/]+)/?$ out.php?title=$1 [L]

sorry, It is still not working! even if I switch titles as links off, the link itself still gives me the "No input specified" Last edited by mbs348; 02-27-2007 at 05:17 PM.. |
