2 questions

1) Is there a feature list for additions to Beta 7 over beta 6? I'm not able to find it

2) If I have a subdomain, and the database is on a seperate server, how should I install the database without overwriting it? (so both version could use it at once).

The goal would be to have the main (stable site): www.prube.com
Then have a beta: beta.prube.com

has anyone tried this?

2) Since you already have prube up and running, upload the new files into the beta folder and update your config.php. Then copy the /libs/dbconnect.php from the original folder into the beta folder and it *should* just work. You will need to open beta.prube.com/install/upgrade.php to upgrade your tables, but the changes should not affect the version 6, and it should still work like normal.

We do the same thing with demo.pligg.com and ashtest1.pligg.com. Both use the same dbconnect file to connect to the same database.

ok, thanks for the confirmation. I thought it would work like that, but I just wanted to be sure. I think I'll still back up my database before trying though ;)

Any thoughts on #1?
