Turn OFF Anonymous Commenting

Hello,

I paid someone to turn on anonymous commenting for me but they never let me know exactly what they did incase I wanted to turn it off. I have emailed them but they will not respond. I knew Spam would be a problem and this was only temporary to build the community, but the spam is too out of control now.

These are the only details I know off:

"This is definitely not a heavy
mod. I will simply be adding a "Guest" user which you can rename to
whatever you'd like. If the user is not logged in, the comment form is
still displayed and the comment is written to the db under that guest
user account. He can reply as well as vote on comments, like I said
above.

Other than the addition of the user account, 4 files need to be
updated. I can provide an outline of the files that are changed so you
will have it for future reference, and I always add comments to my
code so you can see exactly what was added."

Anyone know what was done or which files to check?

If there was some CAPTCHA integrated with your comment form, the problem even won't arise. Don't know why you or the developer ignore this important things.

The comments were intended to only last a short while to build the interactivity. Besides, CAPTCHAs don't always work anyway. Just look at phpBB2.
