Help with URl method 2

Hi All,

it would be great to know how to have URL method to only stories in index, upcoming, stories page, profile, search and others to have the normal php URL 1 method.

Just noted that the PM and some other functionalities seems to break with URL method 2 :(

Anyone know - will it work if I edit the getmyurl() function in /libs/html1.php to have the PM working or to remove the URL-method style links.

Or do I need o play with the htaccess file?

This is off-topic but I fixed all those pagination bugs you were having the other day. The changes are in the SVN (can't remember which revision).

If you only want certain URLs using method 2 and others using method 1 then you will have to edit the URLs in html1.php

Yep I was looking for URL 2 style URLs for certain urls -I played with the code in html1.php and edited the code for URL_method 2 only to find many things broken :( - that made me post this. Also as suggested by you - if we edit in the URL 1 does it require any change in the htaccess file? TIA

Can anyone confirm if Private messaging works with URL method 2?

Have you looked at pligg.tpl in the SVN? There were new hooks created for lightbox and thickbox. PM was not working when they were using the same hooks.

Yes, but don't change the spellchecker stuff. The modifications to that were reverted in a future changeset. And also, make sure you change the module files that correspond to those hooks.

All works fine with the new revision 965 for URL method 2 - thanks kb for helping.
