Fatal Errors New Installation

Hi,

I have fresh installation of the latest version of pligg and I am receiving the following errors

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class HTTPRequest in /home/mydomain/public_html/libs/link.php on line 927

and if I remove the class HTTPRequest I get the error below when I try submitting a story to site

Fatal error: Call to undefined method HttpRequest::DownloadToString() in /home/mydomain/public_html/libs/link.php on line 64

any fixes or suggestions.

I found the source of the errors, it is when I try to enable the php 5 code in .htaccess by adding the code below. Is there any other way to enable php 5 with out having errors.

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php

Hi all,

Is there a tep-by-step solution to this problem? as having major issues with it all.

I added to the .htaccess file but nothing appeared to change.
I also commented out the HTTPrequest i get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method HttpRequest::DownloadToString() in .../libs/link.php on line 69

Any ideas - as really stuck! :(
