I can not download this program - can someone help?
I am having the worst time right now with my computer.

To make a long story short, everything I try to download (mainly .zip files) are being converted to .efw and the program that reads these types of files, StuffIt, was worthless and I deleted it.

The only way I can obtain .zip files that I can download to my computer as per normal is via Yahoo email.

Would it be possible if a Mod can get a-hold of me and I can pass along my yahoo email address and have the latest version of Pligg emailed to me so that I may down load and install it?

File type association
I believe the problem is because the program you used to use and deleted "Stuffit" is still associated with the file type Zip.

You certainly must have the default Windows "Compressed (zipped) folder".
Try this:
  1. Open Windows Explorer
  2. From the "Tools" menu, go to "Folder Options"
  3. Click on "File Types"
  4. Scroll to the end, where you can "Zip".
  5. Click on it. You will see" "Details for "ZIP" extension. Open with: (the program associated)
  6. Click on "Change"
  7. Select Compressed (zipped) folder from the recommended programs list
  8. Click OK
That should fix the problem, hopefully.
If not, just download and install WinRar or WinZip, they will fix the association during the installation.

He said he's using StuffIt, so I'm pretty sure he's on a mac.

Stuffit workss on Windows XP and Vista too
It is also available for Windows Vista and XP.

System requirements:

WINDOWS
Windows Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business & Ultimate)
Windows XP (Home, Professional, Media Center Edition), Windows 2000. 64bit version of Windows are not supported.
256MB of RAM of HD
MAC
Mac OS 10.4 or higher

I've never heard of Stuffit for Windows. I've always used 7zip, winrar or winzip.

With a user name of 'Barbara' I would have thought that 'he' is actually a 'she' :)
