Upgrade Path from 9.5

Hi,

Currently running 9.5 - haven't had a chance to upgrade until now. Being hit quite hard with SPAM etc so looking to upgrade to 9.9.5 - just looking for some advice on how I should go about doing so.

Do I need to install intermediatery upgrades.
What will happen to my customised pages..
I had the AdSense mod installed, will this continue to run?

All help appreciated.

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I'm in the same situation. Based on the instructions in the download file the upgrade should be straight forward. However, we all know this is rarley the case.

I will try to upgrade today and let you know how it went.

Cheers, Dubai

Dubai,

Thanks a million for that. I look forward to see how you get on. Had some downtime after the last install - can't remember exactly what the issue was but got it sorted eventually. Site is quite busy now so hoping for a smooth upgrade..

I updated mine this morning and the comments and footer are missing and you can't vote on articles. Up to know no help to fix the problems, I'd hold on if you can so you don't end up in my situation.

In order not to take any risk, I installed a backup version of my running site under a different domain. I upgraded directly from 9.5 to 9.9.5.

As far as I can see a direct upgrade works without a problem. The AdSense sharing module is working. I only found some minor design bugs (Yget template) when accessing the site with IE 7.0.

I will redo my customized pages (not many) to make sure everything is uptodate.

I hope this was helpful.

Cheers, Dubai
