[SOLVED] captcha not working when new users register

I installed this thing last night and got everything to work except the user registration. everytime the answer to the captcha is entered it says it is incorrect. I thought at first , okay maybe i entered it wrong but after about 100 tries and the same thing over and over I know its a problem with the script and not me.

Does anybody have a fix for this?

Try switching methods to Recaptcha. It's temporarily the most secure captcha method and should work fine.
Register for a Recaptcha account, configure it from Pligg Admin > Captcha then enable it.

thanks the recaptcha works great. Wonder why the others don't work? I know it works on other sites. maybe its my server. Not sure.

Could be the requirements needed to generate the captcha image aren't installed on your server. Glad to hear Recaptcha works.

I'm using Pligg .9.8.2 with the single page registration and email confirmation mod, and I'm getting 50 spam registrations a day. How can I go about applying Recaptcha to what I already have? Thanks.

EDIT: Let me change the question. If I copy the Captcha module from .9.9+ into my .9.8.2 modules folder, upload, install and configure it to use Recaptcha, will it work?
