| Installing Pligg in Windows I'm new to MySql, PHP, etc, but I was able to get Pligg working on my Windows machine so I thought I'd post how I did it for other newbies out there. 1. Download xampp lite and extract to c:\xampplite xampp lite is a distribution that contains Apache, MySql, and PHP 2. Run c:\xampplite\setup_xampp.bat Confirm setup with xampp-portcheck.exe Run xampp-control.exe Start Apache and MySql 3. Browse to http://localhost Click phpMyAdmin under Tools on the left. Click Databases. Create a new database called pligg. 4. Copy pligg dir to c:\xampplite\htdocs\pligg Rename settings.php.default to settings.php. Do the same for /libs/dbconnect.php.default. 5. Browse to http://localhost/pligg/install That should do it. |

| I also wrote up a similar tutorial on how to use WAMP. I like using WAMP over XAMPP http://www.pligg.com/forum/showpost....53&postcount=2
