Help with RSS Importer and Pligg 8 upgrade

Hello:

I currently have a site that uses Pligg 8. I installed Pligg 9 to try the RSS Importer and now want to figure out a way to get it to work with my older, Pligg 8 website.

I have 2 ways of doing this from what I can see:

1. Redo the customization for the Pligg 9 site to match the Pligg 8 site.

2. Find a way to make the RSS Importer import stories into the same database that the Pligg 8 site uses.

I think that it would be best to do number 2 first, then number 1.

I am seeking PHP help to complete this. I can pay of course.
