can't connect locally to MySQL Server

I actually assigned privileges from MySQL Administrator, then found a tut that showed me how to do what you just described. Still can't connect, though.

Hey fleagle,

I had the same issue when trying to install pligg.
I used IP address: 127.0.0.1 instead of local host and it worked for me.

try it and let me know it it works

Localhost used to work fine, but now lately

U need to put address, go into your cpanel and Database info, and it should tell you which host address to use...
