I have just had the same problem. I searched my host's knowledge base and it appears that if I want to access a feed I have to let the host tech support people know indicating my account name, my domain name and the exact URL of the feed that I want to subscribe to.

I have written to them about this in order to add feeds and have yet to hear back. I have a large number of feeds of my own creation to which I wish to subscribe in Pligg.

Let me know if anyone else has overcome this problem and how...

Thanks

i'm having this issue as well. is this definitely a host related issue? that seems odd...

i'm new to pligg and excited to use it, but this issue is slowing me down.

can any offer up any other solutions?

anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? i actually checked with my host (DreamHost) and they are insiting this is not a host/server issue. thus, it seems the base installation of Pligg (nothing has been altered on mine) had a bug with the RSS Importer. i'm actually a little bummed as i was excited to give this a go.

the URL above
Code:
http://www.hemidemi.com/user/lightnesssnow/bookmark#rss
Doesn't seem to be a valid rss feed and that's why magpie is throwing an error.

Are you sure that you're not supposed to use the following URLs?

Code:
http://www.hemidemi.com/rss/user/lightnesssnow/bookmark/recommendation.xml
and

Code:
http://www.hemidemi.com/rss/user/lightnesssnow/bookmark/recent.xml
You're trying to use a link that's linking to an html anchor. Make sure you know what RSS feeds look like before you blame Pligg for being the problem.

i've personally tried numerous RSS feeds and this error persists. i'd be happy to give you login access if you'd like to see it firsthand.

I don't see the URL of the feed you are trying to use. We can't do much for you unless you post it.
