| Change DB table prefixes for test installation Can I change the DB table prefix before installation to setup a test installation and leave the production pligg tables untouched ? |

| you can. But if you can just create a new database that might be easier. Just backup everything before you do anything, better to backup then later lose everything :)

| Where and when do I have to change it? Before I enter DB name, DB user name and password ? |

| My provider offers me a nearly unlimited number of tables but just one database. That´s why I´m asking. |

| 1. backup all the tables in the db. 2. put pligg code in /test 3. run installation using different prefix. 4. check if production works. if the production tables were deleted import them from backup.
